Donations
Bequests
and Gifts
From
time to time a faithful member or adherent of our church will
include, in their will, instructions that an amount of money or
a property be set aside for the use of Middleton United
Church or Riverside
United Church. Such donations or bequests have proven invaluable in helping us
to maintain our community church and are always appreciated to
the utmost.
However,
we should all be aware that such gifts to our church, if made in
“trust” become the property of the United Church of Canada
and our local church may only use the interest accumulated from
the investment of this money.
If
you wish to leave a bequest or gift to our church which can be
used for our most immediate need, your will should state that
the amount of the donation is to be used for "general
purposes as the church sees fit".
